Today, I wanted to highlight Dan Hibiki. Dan is a character that gets a bad rap at times due to his lack of power. According to Shoryuken’s wiki he was “trained by Akuma he has most of his abilities…with none of the power!!! With some of the least powerful attacks in the game, Dan is what you would call a “joke” by the Capcom developers.” After reading that it is pretty aparant why many people choose not too play with him yet there is always some brave soles willing to take on this challenge and those are who I wanted to bring attention too.
Below I have some videos of “Dan Challenges” . The rules to a “Dan Challenge” are this:
- You must have atleast one Dan
- Dan must land otoko michi and perform Dan’s taunt super to win
- If Dan dies, you can’t move or block (attacking is allowed)
- If rule 2 doesn’t happen, no one truly wins
- Dan is AWESOME!
There you have it. If you have ever played with Dan, you can appreciate these challenges because you understand how difficult it can be to land these moves. But that just makes it that much sweeter when you actually do. So enjoy these “Dan Challenge” matches and let me know what you think.
