Since about late December, the Official Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 for PS3 has been out of stock for online ordering. I happened to check the status today and was hit with some good news and bad news. The bad news is not only are the PS3 versions out, but now the 360 version is not available for online ordering. The good news is…
… there has been a $20 price drop. This brings the price down from $159.99 to $139.99. After looking around a bit new ones can still be purchased from Amazon at roughly $200 a piece. I do not recommend you paying more than $150 for this stick, point blank period. There was one used stick that was selling for $130, so if you were in the market to purchase this stick, that maybe something to look into.
In all honesty, if you would rather pay for function as opposed to luxury I would go the following route. Purchase a $70 Street Fighter IV or comparable stick, then spend the other $70-$80 for button and joystick upgrades. You will still end up paying around $140 total but this way you will have performance parts that you know will stand the test of time in your fight stick.
This is the route I ended up taking and have not looked back since. Do not get me wrong I still do want this stick and the only reason I do not have it yet was because it was unavailable for ordering when I was looking to purchase. This is a good stick but for the price, I would recommend customizing your own stick and you will end up enjoying it much more.
